Psychologist

I am passionate about assisting individuals and couples to transcend personal limitations. At the heart of the therapy relationship, insights and tools can be generated to empower patients. I embrace individuals from all walks of life.  I consider it a great privilege when individuals decide to partner with me in their journeys of personal growth. I work from a theoretical framework that incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic theories, tailoring my therapy approach to the unique concerns of each individual.

Without truly understanding the significance of dysfunctional emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships that characterize our lives, similar experiences may recur. Therapy can help to shed light on ineffective patterns of relating to the world or on distress caused by newly encountered challenges. Therapy can foster the use of transformative tools that can liberate patients from well-engrained, self-destructive habits to achieve the fullest expression of themselves.

I encourage my patients to continually evaluate the quality of the therapeutic alliance to ensure that their needs and goals are being met. I seek to inspire patients to make courage-driven versus fear-based choices so that they can move beyond their comfort zone and live a life of joy rather than mediocrity. I conduct my work in the comfort of a spacious, sunny carriage house, a safe, inviting space for patients to consider what they really want in life. Through my training, 23 years of experience, and commitment to lifelong personal and professional growth, I have acquired knowledge and skills pertaining to a wide range of concerns, including:
